Seattle Pipe Club's newest pipe tobacco addition - Plum Pudding Bourbon Barrel Aged - was develped by Joe Lankford.  Bourbon Barrel Aged is simply a version of SPC's popular Plum Pudding blend. A mixture of Black Cavendish, Latakia, Oriental, Perique, and Virginia tobaccos are blended, packed into oak Kentucky bourbon barrels, aged for 30 days, then pressed into cakes before being cut into crumble cakes and packaged in a 2 ounce tin with a bourbon barrel stave to preserve the blend's smoky, spicy, and complex character.
