Seattle Pipe Club's newest pipe tobacco addition - Mississippi River Rum Barrel Aged - was developed by Joe Lankford and is simply a version of their popular Mississippi River blend.  In Rum Barrel aged, a mixture of Latakia, Oriental, Perique, and Virginia tobaccos are blended then packed into oak rum barrels to age and acquire the nuanced flavor of oak and rum. After aging, it's pressed into cakes then cut into a crumble cake before it's packaged into a two-ounce tin complete with a rum barrel stave to help preserve the flavors.
