The Virginias provide a base for the Oriental varietals to stand out in Cornell & Diehl's Dreams of Kadath pipe tobacco blend.  The Burley and dark-fired Kentucky are more condimental, while the unsweetened Black Cavendish provides a bit of sweetness and the Perique adds a little background spice.
